12 Days of Giveaways #7: Earth Balance

December 13, 2011

The winner of Sunday’s Manna Organics giveaway is
Summer!
Please email your mailing info to
almostveganchef AT gmail DOT com
within 48 hours. CONGRATS!

Today’s giveaway is brought to you by everyone’s favorite vegan “butter”: Earth Balance!

I’m a big fan of all Earth Balance products, from their original buttery spread to their newer offerings like soymilk and peanut butter. They even make three types of mayonnaise now (original, olive oil, and organic), and though I’m not usually a fan of mayo, I may or may not have used up a couple jars of these making vegan chocolate mayonnaise cakes recently…

What I REALLY love, though, is Earth Balance’s new coconut spread.

Rich and creamy, with just the right amount of salt, I’ve been eating it on everything from sprouted grain bread

…to chewy raw Banana Bread Squares. (That recipe will be in my cookbook!)

Want to win some Earth Balance mayo and coconut spread of your own?

12 Days of Giveaways #7: Earth Balance

The winner of this giveaway will receive four free Earth Balance product coupons, redeemable at your local Whole Foods or other health food store where EB products are sold:

Ooh, I’ve been wanting to try the coconut spread! It was at our ThanksVegan Dinner, but I didn’t get a chance to taste it.

I would make some dips with the mayo.

Vegan mayo brings to mind vegan chicken salad. The one that Conveniently Natural makes is good, but a little too sweet for my taste. I’d love to make my own more savory version.

The coconut spread would be PERFECT on this amazing “raw bread” I make Mmmm’mmmm — but seriously, on EVERYTHING.. I really love this company and the quality of their products. I am Dairy-free, SOY-free, and gluten-free, so the select products they offer accommodating this limitation is HUGE for me — and the fact that they taste phenomenal is the “icing on the cake” =)

    Another great giveaway girl!

I would definitely use the Coconut Spread on Ezekiel toast or use it in baking and cooking! I can’t find a brand of coconut butter or oil that isn’t super duper expensive and would love to give it a try! 🙂

I’d use the coconut spread on the carrot cake I make with coconut flour.
